Here at the Newschannel, spambots are always welcome to post whatever they like.  Akismet does a marvelous job at keeping them off my blog, 126 comments to date, to be exact.  This begins the rest of the blog post, the “something else”.  PARTY TIME!  Today is the Newschannel’s 2nd birthday :)   Oh wait, no more party time, I just had to take a flipping final this hour, which I probably aced but still.  I know for a fact that I got a 100% on the final I took first hour :)   Anyhow, now is the official time to slide through the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing.  Joyous.  The only small problem being that I actually have hard finals tomorrow, like geometry, and microbiology… Good thing our school believes in Hold Harmless finals – means that the finals that I take, so long as I pass them, don’t count against my grade because I have 99% or higher attendance.  It’s rather awesome, and I use it every year in PE – nobody cares about the history of useless sports, mainly basketball.  However, next year I managed to get put in a weight lifting class instead of PE because of my wonderfully jacked up schedule, with my advanced classes and whatnot.  If you know me very well, you would know that I am not strong by any means, so I’ll be the wonderful ridicule of the school all year long next year, unless by some act of God I actually become able to lift weights at all over the summer.  Probably not going to happen.  Ever.  I mean, it’s not like I’m pitifully hopeless, but compared to the average guy in my class, I’m fat and helpless.  There isn’t much of a way around that.  Anyways, enough about that crap.  Combining today and the last day of school, I only have to endure 23 more hours of school for the rest of the semester.  That’s all.  Isn’t it amazing?  I know you just really care and all, so I felt the need to express that.  Also, if anybody out there actually reads this crap, feel free to comment, spambots included, on any Nintendo DS games/DSiWare/iPod touch (3.0 and below) apps that I should get.  Since I’ll be getting a job eventually this summer, I fully intend upon spending some of my money, no matter what my parents think.  So, that will pretty much be all for now.  Toodles.

Whoa.

According to the USPS tracking site, my package of wonderful things from DealExtreme arrived where they were to be shipped to (where my mom works) at like 7 o’clock this morning, way before anybody was there. So, hopefully my mom could possibly find the wonderful notice and go to the post office and get it ;) Grandiose. Anyhow, it’s becoming finals week at school, and besides the fact that there’s gonna be 10 finals next week, the last couple of weeks of school mean that I have absolutely nothing to do, especially since a) the school blocks 99% of decent flash games :P and b) their internet is being horrendously slow today for an unknown reason. Perhaps they figured out I was doing some speed testing and lots of surfing and trimmed me down a bit ;) because as far as I know, they have to pay by the usage, not a flat rate – which makes me want to download an obnoxiously large ISO file or something XD… Now that THAT is over with… I wish I was at home for a little while, so I could download and upload some cool flash games to the Webs site – which is how I get around all the wonderful filtering here, instead of 15 minutes of worthless Google searching for unblocked games ;) Also, I made a discovery two days ago, recommended for anyone with a Bluetooth enabled phone that supports DUN over BT and an unlimited data plan, and an iPod touch 2G/3G (it DOES work on the iPhone 2G/3G as well, not sure about 3GS, but if you have an iPhone, why do you need a separate data connection??), iBluever. It’s quite possibly the best jailbreak app out there – it’ll use the BT in your iPod to dial a data call and then you basically have an iPhone at your fingertips. Except, no mic, and no GPS, etc etc. I haven’t had the chance to use it much because of the limits on the demo, but it does work just fine. (see the next sentence as to why ;) ) It’s $5 on the Cydia store, and I tried buying it this morning, but my internet wasn’t cooperating too well :P One last thing: you do have to know your APN, BT PIN, dial number, and username/password, which can easily be found with a quick Google search of your carrier and phone model. Haven’t made a post for a while, so I thought that today would be as good as any.  Death happened inside today though; we ran the mile in PE class on the one day that I was so decidedly late for school that I didn’t eat breakfast… oh well.  FBLA cookies saved my life :D hehehe…  Anyways, we had a band concert some time last week (week ago today, I believe) and it was awesome.  Last night was the music banquet, which was overloaded with fried chicken – people just went out and bought chicken for main dishes :P lol.  My hard drive hath died completely on my desktop computer, but I’m just now realizing that I really had nothing of value on there besides a backup of my old Games N Music (which I’d love to have transferred to the new microSD for my BRAND NEW ACEKARD 2i :) ) but I can always redownload all the stuff that was on it.  I’ve installed Ubuntu on it for now, or what I think will be for now – my mom really doesn’t have a problem with it, so until my dad complains too much about not having a Start menu, I think I’ll be fine with that.  Until then… I’ll be buying an external hard drive and backing up every single file on my laptop at least once a month.  I can’t bear to lose a THING on that machine :) It’s got all kinds of things very important to me and some things probably can’t just be magically replaced from the internet… not on my connection at least.  It reminds me of when my POS Acer died on me after 6 days - that was devastating enough and I’d only had it for 6 days; imagine losing a YEAR AND A HALF of stuff… *shivers*.  I’m expecting all my birthday presents from DealExtreme today or tomorrow :D :D :D (they’re all I have left - the AceKard was the first)  I might be posting pictures if I don’t get too much more gay homework later on today, because then maybe I’ll get what I have now done today sometime.  342 (well, it’s actually about 368 now :P ) words is plenty enough for this post, so off I go.
