I’ve finally got my PHP, MySQL, and IIS to all cooperate, and WordPress for home_base:1245 is thankfully up and running at full capacity!
So far, there’s about three posts, and I should perhaps export the posts on this site and place them on the site at home, but I’m not too sure about that yet. The only bad thing I’ve been experiencing is mainly the fact that pings from my site – and loading times – seem to really suck. It takes at least a second to start transmitting the data over my wireless. After that, it appears to work. Another thing is that I must have some file permissions set wrong, because the images of the themes refuse to come up over an external address. Text does okay, and the /OldSite directory is working fine, but theme images refuse to load. Everything is working from within my network from my laptop. Maybe if I tested my mom’s laptop or something… but it did work with my Wii, so that would mean all internal connections would work. I wish that I could use my java VNC client from school so I could fix it during this class, but my gay school refuses to allow anything but port 80, but perhaps I could look into changing the Java VNC viewer port to 80. Have to test it out tomorrow perhaps… but tomorrow is the last day, and a short day at that, so the computers may not even be turned on
Nevertheless, I’m done rambling. Merry Christmas, and hopefully I’ll get pictures uploaded to this server so they all work well from my home site
The Home Newschannel is UP! (partially…)

Schedule has freed up so far…
15 12 2009As soon as I get just a touch more free time, I’m going to resume active fixing/developing of DSe Notepad. All I can hope for right now is to get the source back in working condition… During Christmas break, I plan to get FAT Open working, and removing that pesky options sprite and maybe optimize the way I put in the graphics. So far though, I haven’t really found anything standing out in the source, the same results as I had previously at debugging. I would venture to guess that it has something to do with the open file library I found, but it was working for a while before….. maybe I did something bad to my installation
So, after this wonderful thought, I’ll go do a clean install on my desktop when I get home and try compiling it there and see what happens. That’s probably all for now folks.

Finally, IIS is working :D
7 12 2009I’ve finally gotten IIS to work from my house
So now, I can host content from my house
but the problem is, there’s not really a site yet, but as soon as I get the time to do it – I will set up a WordPress site from there. Unfortunately, the rest of the month, until probably Christmas break (22nd) is chock full of stuff to do. Including a gay history project that still isn’t done yet – due Wednesday, pep band tonight, band concert on Friday… Maybe around the 15th for a release date, but it’s unlikely. If you would like to go there, you can hitch a ride on this link. Don’t try the file uploader – the PHP will really screw itself over, because it just hasn’t wanted to work out for me yet. Plus, it’s password protected, or should be somewhat anyway – that also doesn’t work either
. Plus, you can only upload at 60 KB/sec and download from the server (my house net really sucks) at 30 KB/sec. Also, on another note: until I can find some other way, I have to run the site on port 1245, which can be blocked under network security systems that block target services, and the No-IP just redirects it to a port 80 host. So, it won’t work at my school (grr) but it’s all good, because I can pull it up on my phone
I think that I can host the site on port 80 from my house, but I’d really rather not because of the security risk… Anyway. That’s about it, and I’m getting a DSi for Christmas, and I’ve installed the Homebrew Channel and cIOS38rev14 on my Wii. So far, playing my cousin’s SSBB game has been rather amazing, thanks to CoverFloader 1.2a. That’s all for now – and since I may not post much more around here, Merry Christmas
and it’s not happy holidays… get over it. And to celebrate this wonderful season, here at the Newschannel I’ve activated the “Vermillion Christmas” theme

TextPlus (text+) FTW!
7 11 2009I have just recently updated my SMS app on my iPod touch. Since I don’t have cell service at my house because AT&T has issues
, I use it quite often. Thanks to the new update however, anyone can now text me without me texting them first, either using standard SMS or the app – with just a username. Best of all, it’s free!! And the reason I’m telling you all of this is if for some strange reason you would like to text me, you can by texting “DaleB” and then your message to 60611 in the US. That about sums it all up, and made for a whole lot of typing on the iPod here lol… Anyways, that’s all from me. You can get textPlus from the app store here: http://bit.ly/36TbI3
(the edit was to add a hyperlink to the link – I can’t make links from my iPod touch WordPress app apparently…)

TD9175’s Got a Twitter!
3 11 2009Yes, quite against my own ambitions, I got a Twitter yesterday. I don’t have a reason for having it, and it’s just for whatever pops into my head, but the link to it is at http://twitter.com/td9175 (duh)… There’s really not much else to tell you. Sorry. If you were looking for more content in a new post, well get over yourself and find some other person’s random blog about something more interesting

… Crap.
21 09 2009I’m not sure what exactly happened. I just really don’t know. All I know is that when I was trying to play Spectrobes, my touch screen didn’t work. Unfortunately, after I tried to restart my DS and see if that would fix it (fat chance, but worth a try) it now refuses to initialize anything. Including the sound, screens, and all that stuff. So, apparently, my DS is finally completely broken
. … It’s had a rough life, but still – It didn’t last four years. Oh well. Games for my iPod touch are cheaper anyway, but I sure wish that I could have a 3G iPod touch because it’s faster :\ That’s pretty much it for now though. Maybe I’ll try taking my DS apart again now that I know where all the flipping screws are – remember that I couldn’t get my DS apart before? Turns out there’s two more screws under the rubber feet that nobody knew about before
… Anyway, that’s about it for now, but this class isn’t over, but as always, English next hour, so that’s just gonna be wonderful
yeah right XD Okay, I’m going to stop typing now. For real. Not even kidding. At all. Seriously. You know you should have stopped reading like 2 lines ago, dork. Seriously, why are you still reading this post? I don’t know. Say have you ever played the game called Don’t Press the Red Button? My blabberins at the end of this post is very similar to the blabber that fills that app. Really. If you have like 10 minutes to waste, you should go check it out. Not even kidding. I’m done now.

Okay, so I’m hereby editing this post… I turned on my DS last night, and played Spectrobes for upwards of about 10 minutes and everything was fine (L and R included!), except when I turned it on at first, it kinda lost most of the pixels on the top screen…
but I hit it good enough and it started working XD

Well then.
18 09 2009It seems that the problems caused with baked goods will be cured with baked goods.
Remember waaaay back when I baked those awesome looking cookies? And I broke my DS pretty much? I figured out how to fix my L and R buttons! All you gotta do is either use a spray can of air or your own self and blow a little around the buttons to clean the contacts between the buttons off
Anyhow, I said that it would be cured with baked goods, right? Well, have I got a surprise for you! I am going to enter a pie contest tomorrow, with a banana cream pie, my first attempt at anything besides a cake or cookies, and I think I’ll do well
Maybe second, because I don’t stand a chance against my dad, but oh well – close enough ![]()
So, as promised, here’s the pictures

Some people…
17 09 2009You probably shouldn’t pay any attention to this post, but I feel the need to vent somewhere, so now you know. I have just not had a very good day so far, and since I have English next hour, it’s probably not going to get any better, but that’s pretty much it.

Wow…
3 09 2009So, no updates in forever. Typical from me. I’ve started school, and been here since the 19th of August… :\ But it was bound to happen I suppose lol… At least I still have a computer class that I can update the site with
Anyway, so I had to run the mile in PE right before this class, so if nothing I say makes sense after literally dying last hour, don’t sweat it
So, pretty much the only things that have happened since my last post were: (I’ll have to check the date later on my pictures though) I went to the zoo with my grandparents and my cousins. We got up at the crack of dawn, went to our local restaurant in our teeny tiny town (
) and drove for about 2 and a half hours to get to St. Louis. We went into the zoo at around 9:30 and spent most of the day there, until around 2. We saw all kinds of stuff there, from snakes and leeches (which my parents REALLY dislike a lot, which is why I took the most pictures of them
) to giraffes and some really cool bugs and butterflies that wouldn’t let me take their picture
. After we left the zoo, we spent the rest of the day at the Science Center. You wouldn’t even begin to imagine all the cool stuff they had in that huge place
And there was three floors, plus a gift shop, where I got some space ice cream (mint chocolate chip, cause it is AWESOME) which was freeze dried, and when I tried to rehydrate it, it didn’t work – and it had a kind of styrofoam texture, but it tasted like ice cream! hehe… I will have to upload the pictures here, and I said that I would upload them to my Facebook, but I never have, and that was about a month ago I think
Another big event was me getting a brand new AT&T phone, which predated the zoo, but I just now thought of it…
That’s what I was forced to take the pictures on, but it’s 2 megapixels, so they’re actually not horrible lol… I’m probably running out of time and space, but the other thing that happened about 2 days ago was that I finally fixed my dad’s crashed hard drive after over 400 hours of testing on a supposedly “imminently failing” disk. Weird how that happens…
But long story short, for fixing it I got a hundred bucks, so that’s always nice
Anyway, that really is all that I can think of, and bear with me on this post, as I’m sure it’s about 7000 pages long, but a lot of stuff has happened since my last update like 3 months ago
That’s pretty much it for now… uploading the pics from the zoo when I get home (hopefully) and I’m outta time in class, so
Sayonara,
TD9175.
Okay, so I AM too lazy to make a new post just for this, but after having the theme changed for about a week or less, I decided that it looked quite stupid, so I changed it back to Ocean Mist for now… I want to change it but I dunno what to change it to

Soo…
23 06 2009I haven’t updated this site since about forever ago it seems – I’ve been doing all sorts of things this summer
Out of the last three weeks, I’ve barely spent a week at my own house LOL… So, the main purpose of this post is to just say a little something on this site about the new iPhone/iPod Touch site that I have released on the Webs site. You don’t have to have one of the devices to view the website, but Firefox and Google Chrome render the site the best – Internet Explorer 8 does not render it correctly, and I for some reason haven’t tested it on IE7. Oh well. Here’s your link to the iCrash Zone: http://www.freewebs.com/technodialga9175/iPhone/index.html
